2000 Expedition 4x4 stuck in 4x4 low range. It's killing my gas mileage.

As well as your driveline. Have the transfer case shift motor replaced and don't drive it on pavement until you do. You're going to grenade your transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, axles if you keep driving it like that.
