My son's Lightning is blowing a 15A fuse that, we think, signals if it is Park or Neutral and when blown it prevents him from starting the truck without a screwdriver across the solenoid.
Any suggestions for trouble shooting? No codes are being thrown.

Sounds like something is shorting it out. Try following all of the wired going to the park/neutral sensor to see if one is cut and hitting metal somewhere, thats all I can come up with. Sorry I could't be of more help, try posting this on nloc.net. Good luck! Erik D. '94 white lightning
as I recall, that fuse also protects the stop lamp and back-up light circuits
do those bulbs work ?

Thanks to all who replied...so far.
The tail lights still work and there are no visible problems in the wiring harness. Looks like we're going into the tranny..groan.
Jim, by the way, my son took his to the track last Friday (still starting w/screwdriver) and ran 12.80 at 106 with a 1.81 60 ft. (4817 lbs.)

It's a '01. Pullied to 13 lbs. boost, cold air kit and a chip burned to correct a 4K+ lean condition. It has a Bassani cat-back exhaust that changed nothing on the dyno with, or without cats, but sounded a lot better...with out the cats, my Goddaughter named it "Drive By." Very loud!
