I was wanting to know were the PVC valve is located on 1996 Ford Ranger with 2.3L. Also, how do I install it.

Looks like the last one on that list, i think ( site was just for the picturefor you )
it's located in the oil separator on the top back left side of the engine block (left being the driver's side).
usually under the intake manifold on the block

oops pvc ,,, not pcv as i gave you info on-- my bad-- srry On the link here , you'll find the 2.3L engine and the location along with some info.

Evaporative Emission Control , hope this helps. There is no PVC valve on an engine, PVC is Polyvinyl Chloride, a plastic The automobiles have a PCV valve, Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve

yes whitelightnin , i was helping this guy , from several previous posts
that was from ford tech to the OP of this post. ( from a code pulled ) when i first read this post, my mind went pcv so i posted info for that. but on further thought i think he meant the canister purge valve which the OP might have meant by PCV --- so the additional info
