Q: Connect Driving/Fog Lights.....

I would like to connect aftermarket driving/fog lights up to the existing switch in an Expedition, 1999 model. Switch seems to have the pull function, wires in in the proper location under bumper, and from what I can tell, the fuses and relays are in place. But no power to eaither side of the factory harness. The truck didn't come with factory lights, but I want to enable them via factory switch. what am I missing? Probably something simple huh?

Buddies 99 model also had the pull out switch but no fog indicator light on the switch itself. We added factory fogs but also had no power. The switch on his although it pulled out in a certain position had no contacts in it to power up the fog circuit. Ordered the headlamp switch w/fogs and put it in and they worked right away. Even though your switch may pull out if it isn't marked as having fog lamp function it will not power the circuit. Just something you may want to look into.
