Radius arm stud

In attempting to remove the drivers side shock, the lower stud broke off around 1/4"-1/8" from the end. There is enough of the stud to mount the new shock, would have to have the shock welded to the stud. Other alternative is to remove the radius arm and replace it. Any thoughts? Quick and dirty would infinitely easier than removing the radius arm, based on previous experience with the rear suspension components. The other consideration is the fact that the vehicle has 180k on it, don't expect to have the vehicle when it has 360k. TIA.

Burn it out from the backside with a torch, and replace it with the proper size partial thread bolt and nut.
