No advice to offer but friends that had a AWD Subaru Outback Wagon said if you blow a tire - you BUY 4 - not just one to replace the blown tire. Something about all the tires and treads have to be even tread / uniform to steer / track right.
You might want to inquire about tire replacement on AWD vehicles.
