I stumbled upon one of these for sale while browsing around Ebay, a Jaguar Mk2 from 1997, if you squint hard enough:

Looks like the company did a Jaguar 420 inspired one too:

All the work seems to go on the outside, none on the interior, which only makes it seem more ridiculous than first impressions. But the company is still doing it, so it seems the Japanese like them somehow. Aussies not so keen though based on that $5k sale price.



Their attempt at an XK120 looks at least a bit closer to the mark:
