It is generally accepted that a Porsche 911 gives a much better drive.

But then not everyone buys a car for the way it drives...

£21,000 sounds like a very good deal.... what's the catch?

I can't see a catch, I've seen the paperwork and its all good, the car is not immaculate but the faults are just natural wear and not unsightly. Do Superchargers need work as with Turbo units?

I don't know, it looks very good but I have a habit of jumping in with two feet!!

I don't think so. My Father owns a XJR (V8) with similar mileage and he's never lifted the bonnet up. He's never had any mechanical problems even though he drives it hard. Very hard.

As long as it's been well maintained, you should have no problems - apart from maybe losing your licence if you get carried away.

Take heed - this happened to me and ruined a new set of tires in about 3k miles - I got it fixed under warranty but the tires were not covered. Luckily the tires were cheapo BF Goodrich types. I put a good set on AFTER I got it fixed and it was like a new car.

Parkers puts "private good" at £25,854, "private poor" at £22,115

but that is for a 40k mile car. You have to pay for the mileage-adjusted price
