'02 JEEP Liberty Limited

I realize there are those that can be biased one way or another... But what happened to me was explained to me by the group that this very accident can and would happen. I just think it's to much of a coincidence that many whom I think do not even know each other accept through this newsgroup would describe the type of crack up had so closely.

I have driven my Liberty 02 since last August from NYC to buffalo and back. over 700 miles round trip three times. Not once during a lane change did I come even close to flipping over. I drove at 75 mph tops if traffic would allow and slowed down of course for construction lane shifts etc. This does not include driving back and forth from vacations, ski trips and vists to pals who live upstate. My Liberty is the pre-lowered version. I have never once felt unstable or unsafe in the Liberty. Fact is I feel much safer in it than in my Mazda Protege which the Liberty replaced as my family vehicle.

You really think it whip lash? ugh, if it isn't, it sure feels like it. I see the hand specialist tomorrow and if I don't need surgery then all I have to do is deal with the pain til I'mm all healed up.

How do I find out if mine was lowered and is this whole lowering thing a recall? When I punch in my vin at the JEEP website and carfax it comes back clean with only one other owner besides me. Were they supposed to lower it before giving it up to me? I myself had taken my Liberty to high speeds with no problems, even the handling seemed good. Are the lowered ones any less problematic than the ones that are not? Have you ever driven one that wasn't lowered? You replied are greatly appreciated. Thnx!

Sorry, you win the fool contest. Time to grow up, take responsibility for your own actions, and face the fact that you are a menace behind the wheel, and the world is safer with you in recovery.

Yes, I can admit to when I'm wrong or wreckless as I already have. If this would have happened while I was being reckless I probably would not even be in the group discussing what happened. I'm sure I contributed to my flip in more ways than none. But Rob from Progressive Insurance seems to disagree and gave me the following news this morning just gave. Turns out that some line to the transmission burst, broke, or what ever, it started spraying fluid all over under my car creating my own personal fluid slick that of course traveled with me. The kid at Progressive also said that it was the reason that every time I tried to correct the car it behaved as if I was over correcting. In the end I'm told that a crack up would have occured at practicaly any highway speed. And finally I'm told that I was lucky that I was "not" speeding because this type of accident usually ends with either a cripple or a fatality. I still believe though that if I knew how I could have brought the vehicle back under control... But the Progressive guy that dismanteled the Liberty said even a pro like Mr. Matt Macchiarolo would have cracked up. I guess all that fluid I thought was gasoline was actually tranny fluid. Hey Matt I recognize that fine family name of yours, it's a shame you stain it by speaking the way you do to strangers. The Macchiarolos that I know and have met would not be caught dead mistreating, disrespecting, or insulting total strangers, it's a shame. Please don't tell me the Macchiarolos that I know are not related to you, because like my family name belongs to only my family. I know this to be true of the Macchiarolo family name and even though you might not know it, but when ever you run into another Macchiarolo and dig deep enough you will dicover that person is related to you. Anyway there you go: when you "ass" "u" "me" (assume) you make an "ass" out of "you" and "me". Be well JEEPsters and thanks for "all" the feed back. Even yours Matt.

I usually direct my queries to you Bill because I can tell who is just smart and who has genuine wisdom. Thank for the help and feed back and my apologies for not being forward with you earlier on. I won't continue this discussion because it sames to be generating hostilities in some people. Again a big thanks.

Like implying that you are trying to solicit oral sex from my mother, which you privately emailed me:

Even without your incredibly deep insight into my family tree, I already know most everyone with in the country that is not in my immediate family are my cousins. Most of them live in the NY-PA-CT area. And they would have nothing to do with sniveling, lying Usenet trolls such as yourself. But I guess lying comes naturally to you, after all, every time you ask your mom who your daddy is, she provides a different name.
