'02 wrangler doors off lights on , anyone know of any solutions?

Pull the #4 fuse.

you can pull the #4 fuse as stated or pull the switch out of the body and unplug it

You'll find the Daimler Chrysler has a product called an 'OWNERS MANUAL'....they include it WITH each vehicle they sell....and you just might find that they actually tell you in the book about pulling fuse #4!

thats pretty harsh... what if he bought it used and there was no manual in the Jeep

Maybe, just maybe, he didn't buy it new and doesn't have the OM. I have never had one for any of my Jeeps.

Open the glovebox and look way inside. There is a fuse block hiding way back there. Pull Fuse #4.

Or you can waste money with quadratec and buy a set of those spring things they sell to put over top of the switch to keep it closed. Just pull the fuse, as stated.

Thanks for reminding me. Does anyone here have the Owner's Manual for a `96 Cherokee that they'd like to part with? It looks like they sweep everything out of the cars at the dealer's auctions.

I got tired of pulling the fuse on mine so I just wired in a switch to break the circuit. I mounted the switch down under the steering wheel. Total cost? < $1 and the entire job took about 30 minutes.

I bought my '03 TJ in November of '02. I think the first day I pulled the doors was sometime in March of '03. I pulled the fuse and haven't seen it since. Remember, the interior lights still work without the fuse if you just turn 'em on.

Do those still allow the headlight warning when the key is off? Pulling the fuse apparently also kills that feature.

Maybe there 'is' a reason they sell those silly spring things eh?

It also kills the "You left your keys in the ignition" buzzer, in case that hasn't been mentioned. There are days that I'm amazed someone hasn't walked off with my Jeep as punishment for my absentmindedness. =/

Regarding the headlights, one trick that was suggested (it may have been here) is that when you turn your headlights on, lock your door (presuming, of course, that you're running with doors at the time). That way when you try to get out, you get reminded. Very handy, especially when you're driving at twilight.
