Once again proving the old adage, "an Englishman given a piece of steel, will undoubtably use it to do something silly".
no s*it. Their aquada, which has a startling resemblance to a Honda MX-5 (do you call them Miata's ?) costs 1/4 million US. God knows what a truck one will cost !

They started that while I still lived there. They had a small fleet of DUKWs, but the Coast Guard would not let them haul passengers out into the San Diego Bay, only smaller Mission Bay. That killed their idea of a city/harbor tour, and they struggled to survive. The rigs they use now are new, and far more seaworthy than the old Ducks. They may still have some around, I tried to buy one and didn't like the price.

I think that the Dells tours operates the largest fleet of DUKW's in the US.
Milwaukee used to have a tour operating a British-built "Alvis Stalwart" (not the DUKW model that the Dells uses):

Kinda ironic that it was named the "Minnow". At least the skipper didn't have a side-kick named "Gilligan"...

There are Duck tours in Hot Springs, AR that have been running for many years. Don't expect a Duck to get on plane, though...
