Bestop SuperTop & bad fit with OEM soft uppers?

One thing I forgot to add, I don't believe there is any way to drill another hole in the body to move these "bow mount brackets" in a couple inches.. so doing a drill mod without bolting an extra plate down to the frame would not be of much help, as far as I can see..

Good luck! I own a 1993 Wrangler and I replaced my top with a sunrider last year. I had the same crap! Went round and round with Quatratec who sold me the top, and Bestop. Got absolutely nowhere. Their tops fit like s*it! the doors hit those clamps at the jamb. Same problem I had. Try reversing them. Take the one from the right door and put it on the left ect.... This worked for me. Not perfect but the doors shut a lot easier and the door doesnt cut into your top every time you close it. I spent at least a year going back and forth with Bestop over this issue. In my opinion there tops a very poorly engineered. It took me 6 months before I finally got Quatratec to admit that they new of these types of issues with Bestop. Some of the salesmen even had these same issues with their own jeeps. After all that, Bestop sent me a replacement top and guess what? The sent me a Bestop instead of a Sunrider. That place is a mess! I would recomend to anyone not to buy from bestop and by a factory replacement from Chrysler if they can. Even if its twice the price you be glad you did. I also bought a pair of "Sliders and the fit like s*it too. They sent me 3 sets and none of the fit right or were the same fit as the previous set. My top comes apart all the time at highway speeds. The velcro comes undone and I somtimes have to pull off of the highway to re-attach it. A real peice of s*it!
