Has anyone had this experience with the Bestop supertop on a '97 & up TJ? I installed the supertop on my '98 TJ and feel I followed the directions to the letter, however, the doors (OEM soft uppers) won't close flush. The rod on the upper frame is hitting the bow assembly.
The directions say "If necessary, adjust the Bow Mount Brackets installed in Step 4 so that the doors fit properly." However, I don't see any way that these can be adjusted to allow a flush fit, unless you do what I have done and remove the front bolt from the bow mount bracket, push the bracket back about an 1 1/2 inches (you will no longer be able to bolt the bracket to the jeep body now), and allow the door upper to push the bow assembly rod back far enough to get a flush close on the door.
If anyone has had any similar experiences with this top and can share anything useful, I would be a happy camper.
Thanks, Pete
