Bill, I bet you know, Cuda D60??

Question

Yesterday on a Barett-Jackson auction from Palm Beach, Florida, they had a '71 Cuda Hemi. They said it had a D60 w/4.10 gears and disc brakes from the factory. Was this car's rear end an odity? It seems like with the wheel base and lug pattern this would have made a perfect swap for a YJ.

Maybe they said just the front brakes were disc.

I watch the Barett-Jackson. That's proof there's nothing wrong withour economy, most cars selling at close to a half a million. They usedto just sell the stock classics making sure all the numbers matched. Butnot no more! It's possible the rear end and disks are stock, as theShelby Mustang of the sixties ran four piston calipers all the wayaround. And the stock '69 427" Camaro ran ladder bars. As a past owner of a 71 Hemi Cuda (I miss that Car) if you had a Hemi and a 4speed you would get the Dana 60 - If you opted for the Hemi with an Automatic you would get a 8 3/4 Mopar. The disc brakes were only up front.

Cool, another untapped source for D60's... the wrecking yards are full of Hemi Cuda's! On a side note, I'm trying to track down some Superbirds - hack the wing off and sell it to those wannabe's with the Craftsman Truck Series clones.
