Factory Rust-proofing

Just how good is it? Is it sprayed on, or is it galvanized?

TJs and I think YJs have galvanized tubs, and not much protection however they do it on the frame.

In my opinion, it sucks on the TJ (2002). All the rock chips on my grill are rusty...it doesn't even look like there's any primer under the paint on the grill, and the paint chips off REALLY easily. Also, when the carpet got wet from the water leaks it would also have rust spots on the floor under the carpet if it wasn't taken out the same day it got wet.

The reason I ask is that just recently I had body work done on my '02 TJ. Some drunken numbskull backed into the left front fender and left the scene. When I brought it to the place to be repaired, I told the guy that the underside had been rust-proofed by the dealer. When I picked up the Jeep last Friday, the underside of the fender is the same color as the Jeep, Patriot Blue, while the rest of the Jeep's color underneath is a dull black.
