Just an update... got the skid installed and it was incredibly easy. Took just about an hour and that included a considerable amount of time to siphon gas out of the tank once it was dropped. Tried to run as much out as I could, but obviously had a light week of driving as I had about 1/4 of a tank left this morning. Tried to siphon it out before dropping the tank, but the hose kept getting hung up on something about 8 inches into the filler neck so we just decided to drop it as is.
Skid looks great & it did raise the tank up by 3/4" to 1". It's definitely heavier than the stock piece of OEM sheet metal.
