This is bullshit too, the "parking brake" is one of two "cans" (air cannisters) for each drum. they both run off the same air system, the same lines feed them and they both opperate the same drum brake. Yes the service brakes "push" the shoe.

Bill don't tell me you're one of those idiots that thinks if you can find anything not mentioned or left unexplained that you've disproven something.

Euro comercial trucks have been using discs for years, in fact I seem to recall some of the Volvo's semi's you can find over hear (which are some of the safest and also most comfortable Rigs to drive) have discs. May have only been front discs though. Bill will no doubt wail and nash his teeth over Volvo semi trucks.

Bill I'm a current CDL class A holder with every endorsement. I don't know if there were classifications (or even Commercial Drivers license's for that matter) back in your day (i.e. olden tymes) but that means I'm legally qualified to drive just about anything that's allowed on a public highway. I have driven every major make of tractor and done so in every contiguous state of the Union, as well as the foriegn countries of Mexico, Canada and the Socialist Republic of California.

Now you, on the other hand are a crochity old shut in who hasn't been behind the wheel of anything more powerful than a "Senior Buddy" battery powered grocery scooter in the last decade.

So here you are not proving a damn thing (again) pretending you know more about suspensions than LEGENDARY off-road racers like Parnelli Jones and current pro's because you once.... long long ago, played with a leaf sprung, drum braked sand rail.

Give me a break you've been found wrong on more things than you can possibly imagine... That's exactly the problem, you wont believe that pro Baja drivers know more than you do about suspensions... ditto rock crawlers etc.

Thanks for posting a link that supports what I wrote, contradicts what you wrote, and clarifies my earlier description for those that really want more detail, and doesn't do a DAMN THING to help your long lost battle against reality.
