Jeep Wrangler TJ axle type???

Virtually every D35 I've ever had anything to do with failed in one manner or another. Whether it was stuffing one back together to get it off a trail when either the c-clip or the axle shaft failed, to replacing pinion bearings on an XJ that never saw a gravel driveway, let alone off roading, NO, the 35 is a pile of garbage. It's a typical deal by a manufacturer to make something just good enough to get past warranty. Jeep techs do som many repairs on these things they can do 'em in their sleep. It would cost DC no more than $75 per vehicle to just put a D44 in there. Since the AMC 20 Jeep engineers have been trying to find a less expnsive standard rear axle...in all respects they have failed! At least the 20 can be salvaged, the 35 is a CURSE!

Yeah, and make sure anything she gets costs more than a built 44! ;-)
