JGC oil leak help needed

Sure it's not running down from the valve cover?

At any rate there is an o-ring in there between the engine and adapter. Here is a good writeup.

Excellent link, thanks. It's a torx bolt recessed in the center piece that I wasn't seeing.

Please reply to the group how your repair went. I have the same leak, and I can't find a torx bit short enough to remove the bolt. I looked at the previous post, and even though the pictures are good, I still can't find the tools shown.

You have to make them yourself with a torx socket set and punch. I got mine from strap-on..er.. snap-on, but it wasn't cheap.

Lisle makes a set where the bits and the socket are separate pieces.

I think i did it once by taking torx bit out of the socket and used a 10mm wrench and the bit

Just did that exact same repair yesterday. Kit was like $2.70 from a dealer and I was able to do it in 30 minutes or so. I did it from under the car.

I had cheap set of torx sockets from AutoZone. They are 1-piece sockets and biggest one is T60.

After I placed socket into bolt I was able to get my craftsman 3/8 ratchet on it.

Actually, it went very easy. Loosen it with ratchet, then I got visegrips on a socket(remember? cheap autozone sockets) and finished.
