Has anyone had any experience --or owned-- with a Kwiklift

I've looked into these and questioned actual lift height. (They state
30"* and I couldn't find what the "*" stood for. Pictures showed about 18" by my liberal eye under the tires. So I gave my 10" plain steel drive on ramps a 10" lift kit with extruded steel and extended ramps for less than $75 in steel and used my large floor jack to lift and jack stand the rear up the 20". All told I saved myself at least $1000 by my cheapo calculator. Of course owning the steel fabricating and welding equipment may have to be factored in if you haven't got access to such.Cheers!

If I hadn't have seen the kwiklift I would have never gotten the idea to begin with. ;-) I was, and still am, looking at a real lift system because my old bones don't like crawling on the floor anymore. Maybe I'll see one I can build! ;-)
BTW When I pulled my tranny recently I had lots of room to roll it on out the side to give it a good cleaning and inspection. I don't think you could roll out a tranny on a tranny lift out the side with the kwiklift. I may be wrong.

A followed your link to the Australian war memorials picts. In Pict 3 It's uncanny but true. I have that exact Jack And C-clamp! I'm not that old mind you, but my barn did come loaded with stuff as far back as 1875 when it was built. I'm still cleaning it out. The last owner was a Chevy auto mechanic since 1945. The treasures I'm finding! Ebay here I come!
