I installed the Mopar fuel injection kit on my '84 CJ7 258 6 cylinder stock engine. It is a major improvement in performance and reliability. Although I kind of miss the eractic nature of my old Jeep. I have driven the vehicle for 19 years, so, I guess, it is like a marriage--you get used to the bad habits and miss them when they are gone.
The problem is when my gas tank gets to 1/4 tank or below, it dies coming out of a turn and I hear a whining noise, then it picks up. I am certain it is because the gas is sloshing to one side, the fuel pump is pumping air (whining noise), then when the gas stabilizes it gets gas and picks up.
How do I fix this? Is there a reservior I can install?
