If the YJ is anything like the CJ/YJ 4.2, it involves removing the passenger side motor mount, the starter, and the frame crossbar that runs under the engine. With removing the mount, it becomes a royal PITA, I used a shop crane to hold up that side of the engine.

Just curious, why would you need to on an '03?

Cause I wheel it like it's a '83... and I don't have a skid. I was under it the other day and thanking God that I don't have any holes in the pan (it's that bad) I think I have a seller willing to let a newish pan go for about $40, so I'm going to replace it. n

The factory gasket can be really hard to remove. Its the hardest part in my opinion. KH
