I went with Pioneer speakers for both soundbar and dash in my '94 and they sound about as good as they're going to get without adding a subwoofer of some sort.

For extra cheesiness I got the Kraco
4x6s at K-Mart ~$10 when I redid my '93 YJ-S. They went well with the Rubbermaid tubbed 6 inchers I had rolling around the back. JELoTry Willy's Electronics in National City Ca. They sell OE and better (but not too better, ie $$$$) speakers as well as a million other things electronics. They are more than what Radio Snack used to be years ago before they turned into a cell phone store. The website is:

Go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, or equivelent, and buy whatever they have that fits yoru budget.
