Re: Rear track bars

Are you saying you removed them?

I have two 90 YJs and the rear track bar was the first mod to both. > One is ridding on a R.E. 4.5 inch Extreme Duty lift and the other is bone > stock. > Pat > > -- > To reply, remove the "NOSPAM" in the reply address. > If you forward this message please remove the previous > senders address and use the BCC feature in your email > program to protect others from SPAM. > > Some people recommend ditching the rear track bars, and others warn against > it. You didn't say what model, but if you are driving a TJ, the track bar locates the axle laterally. Removing it will cause you a world of problems.

I ditched both front and rear and front sway. (93 YJ lifted, locked- yada yada) My times in the slalom have gone down and I don't avoid small animals like I used to. Besides the front sway bar makes a mean brush hoop.

I'm going to pull the rears and OF COURSE, keep the front.

Dump the rear, keep the front, but get an adjustable or lockable one for the front if you lift the YJ. The add-on brackets you get with many lifts tend to work themselves loose over time. Pat
