I used "That Tin " to help seal some antennas

If my recollections are correct I must have used it 20 or so years ago for sealing some Specialist Low Earth Orbiting Satellite Tracking antennas

As they're still up and working I must've done a proper job

Now to get back to "The other shed" , the rocker shaft had gone the top half is halfway through a rebuild

Cracking bit of kit. I have used UI-View, laptop and handheld and a TINY 2 TNC on holiday this year to show our location on our tour around Europe. My Dad called us to say welcome home as we pulled on to our Estate! He also advised us of a Uk Call following us from Italy in to Switzerland who ended up camping down the road from us at Interlaken. Nice bit of fun!

Once I managed the US centric map put Hawes in the UK... Hawes is in the Yorkshire Dales though not the North Pennines. The North Pennines are (mostly) north of the A66:

I'll try and remember to look at the map on the weekend.

I regularly play north of Hawes

And even north of Moulting Teds Pub

But you wont find me with a traker switched on up there

It might give people wrong ideas

If I do its on a frequency that wont find itself on the internet

F*ck me, i aint too shabby on most stuff, but that had me utterly lost...and bored, just like 'geocaching'

F*CK THAT

ARPS doesn't appeal to me much either but geocaching is a good hook to hang getting the kids away from the PC or TV and out into the fresh air with a bit of excercise. The offer of just "going for a walk" is nearly always turned down but say "lets find a cache" and up they jump...

Any form of cache will do me a the moment......

Must admit after a top half rebuild I could do with some cache as well

I've been told I need a new self adjusting pulley for the fan belt etc.

They tell me it comes as a complete unit at 60 odd quid

Its only the bearing that seems suspect

Suggestions would be appreciated

Well it sounds alot. Is that for one with a green oval on or a dare I say it Britpart?

Landrover in the past quote me £45 for a bearing that I picked up at Bearing Specialists (across the road) for £5.50 IIRC. Mind I probably sweat £30 of sweat chiseling the old bearing out!

I just have a need to know how stuff works and have a fiddle. Once I've satisfied the curiosity I generally move on to something else.

I do like the idea of knowing where my car / caravan is mind , I'm sure as I get older it will be very useful knowing where I left them! ;0)

Nige - you know your just a frustrated Ham! lol! Theres a big ham trapped inside you just waiting to get out..... (I'm quite looking forward to the reply!--- don't know if I should go to bed or wait up... :o) )
