Quite a few years back a stolen LPG converted RR was torched and the results were quite spectacular. The roof was blown rather a long way in the ensuing explosion. I suspect that this was down to the nature of a fire that is deliberately started with petrol and is less likely to happen in a genuiine accident. Fortunately it blew before the fire brigade arrived. There was quite a fuss about marking LPG conversions so that the brigade lnew what they were dealing with which made a lot of sense IMO, nothing came of it because they didn't seem to be able to make a decision on what markings to use.

When our LPG RR suffered an engine bay fire and it took the fiore brigade 20 minutes to get to us after the extinguishers failed to toally put it out, I was sure that the lack of liquid fuel to tack back onder the vehicle was a major advantage.

Please re-read the bit at the start of the post I replied to - again and more carefully, or do I really have to explain.

Well at least you've decided to read what's there rather than what you think ought to be there, which is progress of a kind I suppose.

I've not changed what I thought you said from the start. A whine triggered by a whine which was in itself triggered by a whine. Three levels of pessimistic hand-wringing, I don't see that in any other newsgroup I'm in, this group really does stand out when it comes to miserable pessimists.

And what about all those campers and caravanners, never mind hitch hikers with a can of camping gaz in there rucksacks.
