Do the ball joints on either end of the Track rod of a 300TDi Disco have different thread directions?

If you mean the thread that screws int othe track rod, then yes I think they do. Badger.
Why not have a look underneath? If the track rod is in one piece the ends will have opposite hand threads. If, like the old RR, the track rod is in two pieces (usually having a short section at one end) the ends will have identical threads.
