Found this on Ebay, and remembered a thread a little while ago. Thought somebody might be interested. Shame really, as I am taking my Discovery to Louth on Tuesday to have mine fitted.

Probably more than =A355 and a couple of hours of your time as well...
The hardest part is cutting the hole in the steering wheel rear cover. The rest is just plugs in sockets. Well worth the money, makes bowling down the motorway a doddle.
Can this be fitted to a defender TD5?

But I doubt it. For a start all the wiring and switch posistions are in place in a Disco II, it really is a plug into socket job after you have cut the hole. Defenders are totaly different inside.
Now *IF* the Defender TD5 has the same ECU you *might* be able to replicate the switching. Is cruise an option on the Defender TD5, I wouldn't have thought so. What does a farmer want cruise for? B-)

DiscoParts sell the kit with full instructions for £46.00, comes with the cutting template and the metal bracket needed for the steering wheel switch assembly.

I did mine last year, took about 45mins, 20 of which was spent waiting to ensure the airbag had disarmed. Works perfectly. If I can install it anyone can!
=A346.81 + VAT actually which is =A355.00. Strangely the same price as t= he Buy It Now item from eBay seller "discoparts" in Stafford who wants cheques made out to Proser Ltd...
Now I could be wrong but I have just this tiniest suspicion that they are one and the same.
Ah yes, hadn't spotted that! I suspect your 'suspicion' may be correct! Apologies :)
