yes....... and its the reason why my bulbs are still blown 2 years later..... Involves removing *lots* of trim to get to it.
Yes, and that's why my bulbs never got replaced, it's a monumental PITA!
I developed a tactile and memory method to control the heater!

You start by removing the entire centre console (the one that contains gear lever etc). It is held in by lots of screws in lots of obscure places
Once you have done this, you are then able to gain access to the lower screws that hold the fascia surround in place, again obscure screws in obscure places
Believe me, it is not easy, the whole process wil take an afternnon just to change a couple of bulbs, which should basically be a 5 minute job.
As we said, its easier to leave them!
