FW hub question

Which nut do you mean? The nuts that hold the wheel bearings on?, or one that hold the actual FW hub on?

If its the wheel bearing one then you can buy a socket from most landrover shops (Paddocks or Craddocks for example). It will cost you about £5. I'm not sure offhand what size it is, but i'm sure someone here can tell you. Alternatively you can remove it using a hammer and chisel. Worth buying the socket IMO as they get mutilated pretty quick otherwise.

If you mean the nuts that hold the FW bit of the hub on, then you'll have to describe the hub some more. There are a few different types. I think one of mine is held one with some stupid little allan key bolts, and the other is just held on using the bolts on the hub (which a size

They are made by AVM and the only bolts that needed removing were the 6 retaining the hub covering the half shaft end and then ,after undoing the six screws holding the switch and removing it, the nut on the end of the half shaft a size,pausing to look for a large greasy socket, can't tell 'cos it isn't marked,but you will see the size when you dismantle the hub.

If you mean the nut on the end which turns 1/2 turn to engage them, then you'll probably find it's the same size as the wheelnuts. If not then you have the later, larger wheelnuts. The wheelnuts are 15/16" (23mm) or 1 1/16" (27mm) The FWH should be the smaller size
