GPS question.

The link to external antennae on the GarTrip site (which has been mentioned before) has a simple circuit for powering external gps aerials and coupling the output to gps receivers with no external connection.

If you can power up the GPS that was left by the AA you might find what DC voltage is present on the BNC socket which will tell you what the aerial needs.

I might just give that a go. I didn't realize that the aerials were active and needed a supply.

The GPS receiver that AA left is made by a company called MDSI who are in Cambridge, I may try giving them a call and see if they could help.
