Less Lousy At Reversing Trailers Near Haverfordwest

There's no such thing. I've been towing small to scary big stuff for near 30 years and even so, still managed to completely f*ck up a basic reversing of a small 1/2 tonne Sankey whilst collecting and engine and gearbox (mind, I had put my back out before this and will call on that as an excuse!).

Everyone gets it wrong from time to time - when this happens to you, don't let it dent your confidence, just take the laughs, and smile :-)

Seconded - I thought I knew Wood Park but in the dark I was totally lost. Great site but, as you found, it ain't cheap. I scoped him out for a day's offroading when we had the unofficial in West Wales last year, but cost would have been prohibitive.

caravans - never appealed to me - although we will happily throw up a tent on any patch of green that will have us.

Very funny but a setup, e.g. the caravan fire and the camera managing to catch the burning cushion being thrown from the window onto the other caravan, the fire scene wasn't filmed at the campsite, the electrical hookup and the plot marker post mysteriously disappear during the fire scene, so the other caravan (that was reversed into) was bought in specially. The fire engine scene doesn't show any sign of the original campsite either.

So funny but not genuine, just like the rest of the programme.

Agreed re "fire" was set-up.

I thought that May hitting the bollard on the way out of the petrol station looked genuine though, from the in-car camera shot showing the reaction of Clarkson and Hampster.

and, pisstake notwithstanding, there was some useful stuff - most esepcially about how easily caravans can burn, and the merit of having a fire extinguisher... That and knowing what you're doing.

and if that crappy motor really is the caravan club's tow car of the year, then the caravan club has its head further up its arse than even I thought. You wont summat big, solid and powerful to tow a van properly. Volvos are good at it, if you don't want a V8 LR product of course. Actually, 90s make about the best tugs - although I don't doubt that ACE and suchlike have tamed the disco - my epxerience of toing big things with a standard disco is that it's not stable enough - my one, which had (by my design) stiffer springing was better behaved.
