MOT

Bastard!

Just been to NY for a week working, and the bloody MOT has run out while i was away...

Cock!

Must get it done tomorrow - there are floods on their way in these parts and i need to promote good 4x4 use (plus make people silly for getting stuck)

There's one in Sedbergh which I go to sometimes, which has a flood warning siren, if it goes off you're supposed to make for high ground :-)

The skifield and it's associated campground near here (Mt Ruapehu) has a flood warning siren that activates in case of a lahar from the crater lake at the top of the mountain. You're supposed to remember which bits of the mountainside are "safe" and head to them if the siren sounds. Strangely they have placed the campground in an unsafe area.

That campsite in Sedburgh Austin. Is that the one with the toilets built in the old sewage tanks right by the river??. I spent a week there a few years ago and watched the river rise over 4ft one night....no siren though.

's called Pinfold. It got snazzy new toilet block and so 2 or 3 years ago.

I don't know if the siren actually works, certainly there used to be a big notice about it and I think that's still there.

Just in time by the sounds of it. Our camp site at St Neots has closed due to flooding (prob wet grass as opposed to big full on floods) and now we are up at Houghton some 15 miles away than the origional plan. Hay ho!

I'll pack me waders!

My landy is still working perfectly! - so I'll be impressed if it snows!

If it does then it looks like the landy/snow cycle might have been broken! ;)
