If anybody has been using this server (and I know a lot of us do) and is finding they can't access it, it's switched to news.individual.net, with the same login details.

Although, clearly, you'll have needed to have accessed a news server to read this message...

...and note that the numeric address remains the same. I traced it ages back when I was having DNS trouble at some point, and have used it ever since.

Thanks for this - it had been refusing access all evening, now I know why. I have changed the server name to news.individual.net in OE, but it still won't let me in - have I missed something? Do I need to re-subscribe?

(Message read using the BT news server)

I haven't needed to, no. From within OE you need to change the server address, not just the name - right click on server name, Properties, click on Server tab and change it to the new server.

HTH David.

Yeah, did that. Every time I try to log on to it, it pops up a box asking for username and password (which are already filled in). I click OK, wait

10 seconds and the box appears again. I'm reading this group through the BT news server ATM, but I want to get back to cfs.de as it gets 99.9% of all posts. Cheers.

Nah, that didn't work either. I'll have to visit the website and re-register. Worked last time. Thanks for the advice.
