Glad they put in the point about wasting money. There's a consultation ongoing, putting in motions now is just a waste of everyone's time and money.

bloody idiots. Wonder if the git has an email address, I can write to him expressing that PoV... :-)

bah. various things say it's not worth emailing etc. MPs other than your own, and the thing on the govermint's site actually as good as says that email from people outside the constituency will be binned... I guess I could pretend to be in Worksop...

hmmm. Any of the regulars live in Bassetlaw?

having said that, "we" (FSVO we) do need to pay more attention to the idiots among "us" who *are* shpxvat up the countryside by misuse of byways, and find ways to improve self-policing of this, or we will end up with an outright ban.

I hope I don't sound too sceptical, but does anyone know who is behind this site and e-petition?

The whois does not give any organisational details, just an individuals name.

I'm not dissing it, just curious...

I think it may have been better to post a link to Nominets whois rather than splashing someones name and address all over usenet...

Partly why I mentioned the whois, whilst asking for other info...

IMO, and all that...

But surely a link is as good as posting the address? It's publicly accessible data either way isn't it? Unlike email addresses, people don't harvest postal addresses off Usenet, do they?

Or am I missing something here?

The reason I posted the details was that I didn't think everybody would be familiar with whois.

I thought you were on the UK-LRO list ?

It came about as the result of a discussion on the list with the text being contributed and amended by a number of list members and run past GLASS, TRF etc... IIRC it started with a discussion of the proposed "march/protest".

If you take a look at the UK-LRO archive you'll be able to see it's brief history.

cheers
