That is why he/she needs the overdrive, engine so noisy, they have gone deaf!!

They do, but its not a Series III one!

There are two overdrives - the Fairey one, that fits Series Landrovers from S1-S3 except One Ton and Stage 1 V8 & Isuzu, and the GKN one that fits Range Rover, Stage 1, 90/110, 101. There are others, but they fit either one group or the other, not both, and are very rare compared to these two. JD
