P38 Battery

Yup,

Go down to your local car part / bling sales. Ours in the UK (I dunno where you are) is Halfords.

I got a Battery for my 110 that is Way OTT compared to what is Spec, it is bigger but I have lots of space. It's for a Ford Maveric mind but if you go to a car sales place and look it up.. see if they have one in and then measure it and check the poles are correct sides on the posts.

Otherwise browse the shelves/spec with a note of what dimesions will fit.

I've not had a P38 but if the battery is similar to the one fitted on my RRIII L322 then you should have shed loads of space.

Hi,

Yep, I've heard a great deal about Optima batteries and they certainly have a very high cranking amp rating. I'm trying to locate somewhere in Gloucestershire that sells them so that I can check the fit. I have the dimensions of the battery tray etc but want to be sure. I may visit an agricultural suppliers and get a battery designed for a tractor; it will be far cheaper.

As an aside, on Friday I had my RR (with a V8 Developments 5.3ltr engine) fitted with new injectors and a Mark Adams Tornado chip which he then mapped to my engine. On the rolling road it was giving 382bhp and a huge amount of torque. There was a TVR Griff in there with a V8 Developments 5.4ltr engine and various other mods; it was pushing out just shy of 400bhp and sounded bloody fantastic.
