I've found out how to mount the brushbar/bullbar- call it what you will- to my '98 4.0 RR. Here's a pic of how the large A-frame nudge bar mounts to the car's number- thanks rangerovers.net:

a view from the inside of the bar.The bar I've picked up from Ebay doesn't have the pictured steel brackets- without them it's useless.
Any ideas? Got a spare set in the shed? Fabrication looks more trouble than it's worth...
