Hi, I know this is a bit after the fact, but there are drilled and slotted rotors that are a bit more economical than the vented ones, and I believe they are no thicker than the solid ones. I kept with solid ones when I replaced mine on my 87 RR, though. And a bit of advice from someone who's done it.....(if you're doing it yourself)....have some new seals on hand to rebuild the calipers. I found my front ones leaked after pushing back the pistons, but was okay with the rear ones.
