I beleive its still at the "consultation" stage, due to be finished "soon" but one interesting thing that has come up, mentioned on Radio 2, is that someone commented on the "large amount of new routes with vehicular access" - now that could be fun. I've no further info unfortunately.

Putting on my cynical head - and having read the consultation document. I'd suggest you have a look at the recent changes in public access to the countryside in Scotland (I may still call it home even if I'm not from Dalbeattie) - there is no provision at all for motor vehicles and I think this is where the consultation document is leading. It's one step beyond CRoW and I think it's something that off road groups must be looking at??

One would hope so, though I suspect there will be a certain amount of trying to "bolt the door after the horse has gone", which hasn't worked too well to date.

RUPPS were only intended to be a tempoary measure prior to the reclassification to BOAT/FP in the first place. That was about 25 years ago

Green Lane Association had an active interest in keeping RUPP's open, and they have people who understand these things (I confess, I don't) Membership is cheap and we're a friendly bunch
