S2a Coil Springer

Jul 06, 2003 3 Replies

Hi Guys, Love Landies, well I must cos I've had my s2a about 9 years now and reacently it has been neglected, well it hasn't had a MOT for 2 years, so its time for a bit of lovin' tender care. I have bought an 88' Galv Coil Sprung Chassis and am intending building a special using as much of my old Landy as possible, but, can any body tell me of a book that will help me decide which bits to ditch an which to keep.

Any help would be appriciated

Hi! I don't know of a book, and I haven't tried anything like this myself. If you don't already belong, it might be worth getting in touch with a local Land Rover club(s), since there are likely to be members who've built all manner of hybrids. Also there are the Land Rover magazines - Land Rover Owner, Land Rover Monthly, Land Rover Enthusiast and Land Rover World - they have all probably carried articles on series 'coiler' conversions over the years - it may be worth contacting them.

Cheers, Rollerball

Keep the bits that dont fall apart when you take them off !! :-)
