Scorpion Racing rock sliders

I think the scorpion rock sliders are those made by W&H Engineering (who also trade as Safari Equip and w&H Wheelcarriers) in Bradford. The Defender ones certainly look the same, as do the rear bumperettes Scorpion sell. You'll almost certainly find them cheaper if you buy direct. Their number is 01274 632070. You might find you have to leave a message on the answerphone to get hold of them though.

Wish I knew that before I bought mine for the Defender. I still haven't got round to fitting them though and with the snow forecast for this weekend it probably won't happen soon.

I had some on my D1. Bit of a bugger to fit unless you have an angle grinder to grind your drill bit down a lot, and then a bench grinder to re-tip it. But I digress...

Mine had the hi-lift points but not the side-bars - at the time I don't think they did them for Disco, only Defender.

Used them in anger a couple of times and they were great. My only comment would be, they are finished in black gloss, which contrasts with the matte black metal elsewhere on the car. This makes them look quite off-roady, rather than in keeping with the rest of the vehicle.

I'll probably put some on my new Disco when I get it, but I'd spray them matte first! Or get them powder coated.

Hello Paul, thanks for the advice. I'm a little out of town, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia so I pretty much stuck with what the local (3,500kms) away local dealer has. If I get to the UK this year I will add this to my list of "good" gear to check out.

It is difficult to find rock sliders here that will double as side steps, the best local offering sticks out from the side of the car like dumbo's ears.

Thanks for the heads up, this means I should see it in about a month as we are usually one issue behind out here. A bugger if you want to go in any of the competitions, would have loved to have a chance at winning the glacier trip in Iceland.
