Yup,,,

Tack weld the pillar into place then put in the floor section. Assamble the door and if required support the door with a jack...check the fit..when it's right and only then seam weld the pillar on. To often people just bung on the pillar then find that the door always clangs shut and needs a kneeing rather then that click shut as it's supposed to...The bulkhead support at the front of the foor well to chassis also needs to be fixed tight if you have cause to move it...There is minor adjustment available at the door hindges and the front footwell to chassis support.. If you have a roof on this will help keep things in ling but the weight will also be bearing down when the pillar is removed.

Not a bad job, just time consuming.

Mine have always needed a kneeing, all three of them, and they're all on thier original bulkhead. In fact the IIA 109 needs a damn good kicking sometimes to get it to shut properly.

Perhaps I should get a new door, that one is falling to pieces.....

probably worn hinges/pins. On the 110, I succeeded in fixing this problem by loosening the hinge on he pillar and moving it a bit, so that the door doesn't drop so far.

Mine need doing, as I haven't the time or equipment I asked a local back street LR garage for a quote over the phone. They guessed about £200 a side depending on the condition of the brackets.
