When you say the light is on 75% of time, do you mean,

1) It is on for about 75% of a drive cycle or 2) It is intermittent, but once on will stay on for the duration of a drive cycle.

The SRS lamp (Discovery 2 only) will remain on for the whole drive cycle for all faults apart from voltage related faults. If a low voltage is corrected, the light will turn off immediately.

If a non-voltage related fault is not present at the next drive cycle, the lamp will no illuminate.

If the SRS warning lamp is on at any time, you can not guarantee that the system will function correctly. You should have the SRS ECU fault checked by a workshop with appropriate diagnostic equipment.
