A member on another forum is looking at a late 3oo tdi disco and isnt sure if the timing belts been changed ...does anyone know how much she is likly to get charged ? they are in w.sussex can anyone recomend an independent garage for her ?

I was quoted =A3300 by a local indepentant LR garage up here in Herts for a 300tdi Disco. I though that was steep so I did it myself.

About £100 plus the belt.
My local dealership charged me =A3200. Its quite a big job because you have to take off the the front end of the engine and coolling system to ge to it. Not to be confused with the serpentine belt.
The belt itself I think is about =A330. Bryan.

I have had mine done on two cars & it cost £100 each time at two different specialists.
