Tom Tom go and Heated Windscreens.

Toying with getting a tom tom go for my next major adventure. Any one using one with a heated windscreen in a Disco or Rangie? If so does it work ok ? Only ask as my current GPS mouse is a little fussy if it's raining or if were in the footpath of tree lined routes. The Sunroof in the disco solved the problem but I'll get neck ache looking at a tom tom go up there for 300 miles at a time.

Slightly to my surprise, my Tom Tom Go seems to have no problem with the heated screen in my 1999 P38a Range Rover. On a trip to Italy and back earlier this year it lost signal on only half a dozen occasions, and briefly.

Unusually they work fine behind LR heated screens, On or Off.

Using a GPS in any Land Rover requires an external antenna, to get the best performance from the GPS.

My Navman 510 works well behind the heated screen of my Defender XS. Smaller to put in your pocket than a Tom Tom Go, ehen you leave the vehicle, too.
