Just put Goodyear Wrangler Radials on the front of the '92 200 Tdi - tyre centre have put 35psi in them which seems a bit high as the Hankooks only had 28 as per LR book.
Any helpful comments please?

What sort of Landrove - Discovery or Defender, and tyre size would help. JD

run our disco at about 35-36 all round, on Michelin Synchrone 205R16. 28 looks way too soft on the front, to me, with the weight of the TDi on it. One of the tyres has a very-slow leak, and is usually a bit under-pressure, this shows in the wear pattern - significantly more wear on the outer edges.
for heavy loads/heavy towing, the back pressures need to be higher.
Never did understand the 28 front pressure thing on land rovers - it used to work on crossplies on a SWB, but crossply casings are much stiffer. Changed to radials on the 110 and found that the pressures needed upping by about
8-10 psi to make 'me look sensible, compared to some old 7.50 crossplies.Join the Discussion
