Welsh Cave Rescue Landrover stolen

Hi all.

Apologies for slightly off-topic, however I've just been informed that the West Brecon Cave Rescue Landrover has just been stolen. A particularly cowardly act against a volunteer 999 organisation has potentially put lives in jeapordy in South Wales.

If anyone sees a white 110, registration X338 DCU, possibly with CAVE RESCUE down the side (unless they've painted it already) please report it to the police urgently.

Thanks for all your help. Aled Treharne, Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team and Discovery owner.

Correction - the correct registration is X338 DCY not DCU.

Pictures will shortly appear both on our team's site

It alsp appears as though the scrotes in question have smashed up the cave rescue base and have stolen their rescue equipment.

Thanks for your help. Aled.

Are they not the same in welsh?

Let's hope the little feckas get an interest in a bit of caving - then get into some difficulty...

To good for 'em and puts the *professional* rescue team under to much pressure preform the rescue despite really wanting to drop down the nearest hole.

I think a dark night something small and hard meeting the odd kneecap at high speed is a better idea and if that fails to bring the message home, the accidental inclusion of baseball bat.

No no no far too tame,

Use a cheesegrater to produce a graze, nothing too serious, use the small grater setting, then rub in Battery acid. Do it on the thigh or chest and hurts like mad and leaves the wound red and inflamed for weeks..

Disco - errr it is running perfect - still.

Gas powered soldering iron up the japs eye. That's the preferred solution to car scrotes round 'ere.

Good coverage on BBC Wales news tonight at 6.30pm. Certainly looks a fine vehicle. With all the hi-viz graphics and chequerplate, it's pretty distinctive and would be easy to spot - even broken down into panels. Reporter reckoned police said it was likely to have been taken as a prank. While that seems unlikely, I can only hope it's true.

On a slightly odd note ... I'm sure we could all club together and get them a tracker sub? Viable?

They've set up a page where donations can be made via the Charities Aid Foundation (which presumably means they will get the extra tax relief as well).

I'll make sure the tracker suggestion gets through - I think it's likely to be pretty high on the agenda once a replacement vehicle is obtained.
