Hello. I own a 98 GS300 and the coffee cup I use is a bit tall and at the same time skinnier on the base than at the top. This skinny base works great in cars with pull-out cupholders, but it doesn't sit well in the GS300.
Any suggestions regarding a good coffee cup that fits nicely in the GS300 holder?

I got a pair of Lexus coffee mugs with my GS, and they fit so nicely. ;-)
Do LS and RX owners get Lexus coffee mugs with their vehicles too? I think Lexus ES coffee mugs should be less expensive than LS coffee mugs. Because not all (Lexus) coffee mugs were created equal. :)
FWIW, they gave us a couple of nice Lexus travel mugs when we bought our IS. They gave us some nicer, non-travel coffee mugs when we bought our SC. Personally we don't drink in the car, so we just gave the travel mugs away.
I still think that Lexus should design a high-tech coffee-cup adapter. It could be mounted on a gyroscopic device that will keep the cup straight up regardless of the incline of the car, you know, like the automatic headlight leveling system in my ES 300 (except that the coffee-cup adapter works in the vertical plane).
And the proposed Lexus coffee-cup adapter could have a little cable that hooks into the Lexus automobile main computer (next to the transmission lever?), and can be programmed to keep beverages either hot or cold, with a programmable temperature setting. Maybe even a liquid sensor to determine what the beverage is, and automatically determine if the beverage should be heated up or cooled down per the driver's previous decisions.
And if the software ever needs to be changed, you know, like that transmission software in the 2002 and 2003 Lexus vehicles, the Canadian Lexus owners can get the $1600 chip for free to fix the problem faster than U.S. Lexus owners can :)
