Get This !

A older neighbor lady has a 96 ES300 with only 12500 miles; I know this to be accurate, and she is the original owner. She may be giving up driving and offer to sell the car to me. I've driven it, and it seems fine. The only apparent problem with the car is the paint on the hood, top, and trunk is actually like rotted out, from sitting in the S. Fl. sun. If I buy it, I want to resell it to make a profit. What would be a fair price to offer for the car? If I get the car and try to resell it, what should I ask for it? Should get it re-painted before I sell it?

Probably. Plan on spending $1500 or so.

Why don't you advise the old lady what a fair price is, and dont try to make a profit on her. It will improve your karma.
