Retrofitting HID lights on a 2000 ES300

Nov 05, 2005 3 Replies

Has anyone done this? I have an 02 LS430 with HID's and a 00 ES300

*without* HID's and, of course, the difference is very noticable.

Anyone converted an 00's halogen light assembly to an HID system and if so, how much did it cost and is it something that a backyard mechanic should attempt?

Didn't HID's come as an option in 2000 for ES300's? If so, would finding that assembly used be simpler to retrofit?

Comments/suggestions most appreciated.

HIDTECH.com

they will do it for you and you are looking at about +/- $500 for parts

Thanks! Any idea where they're located? Their website doesn't show an address.

Trading the vehicle is easier/cheaper than the harnesses, cluster, computers, headlight assemblies, and height sensors required to do this. Add in the depreciation and OUCH.
